THERE will be a local tinge to tonight’s meeting at the Abbey Stadium as local teenager Anders Rowe is set to make his Swindon Robins debut against Rye House Rockets.
Rowe, who signed up as Robins’ number eight at the start of the season, will fill the void left by Jack Smith – who will instead be racing for Championship club Sheffield as they face Berwick at home.
The Royal Wootton Bassett Academy student will team up with international stars including Nick Morris, Troy Batchelor and Tobiasz Musielak as Robins seek to build on their one-point lead at the top of the SGB Premiership table.
A six-point loss at Leicester last night ensured Alun Rossiter’s men picked up a crucial league point, which ultimately put the Robins top after rivals Wolverhampton Wolves lost by eight points at the Oak Tree Arena against Somerset Rebels.
