TOMMY Bridewell reflected on a positive weekend's work as he claimed another two top-10 finishes the third round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park.

The Etchilhampton rider finished seventh and 10th in two races at the Cheshire circuit for his Movuno.com Halsall Racing Suzuki team, as he continued to develop on the Suzuki GSXR-1000.

“All in all this has been a positive weekend for me, even though the results don’t necessarily show it,” he said.

“We’ve been struggling to get the bike to turn at high speed and at a track like this we need it.

“But the team has worked so hard all weekend. We’re still developing this bike and I think the improvements are clear for everyone involved in the team to see at this point.

“Now we have a six-week break and it gives us all the chance to go away and have a good look at the data, and see where we can work to make the improvements we need.

"It was always going to be tough here at Oulton Park, but now we can focus on the rest of the season and I’m sure we can come out fighting hard at Snetterton.”

Team owner Martin Halsall added: “We are improving all the time, but we need to start pushing on and I think the break will give us a good chance to get closer to where we want to be,” he said.

“Tommy and the team know which areas they need to work on from here”
