CHIPPENHAM Town have strengthened their attacking options by signing forward Jake Jackson from Southern League Premier side Frome Town.
The Bluebirds have been on the lookout for a new striker since losing David Pratt to National League South rivals Wealdstone earlier this month.
After a lengthy search, Chippenham chief Mark Collier moved to bring Jackson to Hardenhuish Park after a series of strong performances at the level below.
Jackson has netted 13 goals in 29 games for Frome in 2017-18.
Collier said: "I am particularly pleased to get the deal over the line as other clubs in the National League were chasing his signature.
"I tried to sign Jake in the summer and I have continued to monitor his progress since then.
"His goal record in the past season and half has been outstanding. I have no doubts he can make the transition from Southern League to the National League South."
