Adver Sport assess the performances of Swindon Town's players in tonight's 3-2 defeat at home to Colchester United in League Two.

LAWRENCE VIGOUROUX – 5.5

Not really any saves to make as all the shots on target hit the back of the net, although was pretty much helpless for all three goals anyway.

BEN PURKISS – 5

Unusually the full-back looked a little shaky on the right and although made a couple of good forays forward, was taken off at half-time.

OLLY LANCASHIRE – 5.5

Made one real quality challenge to deny a goal-scoring chance but should have made sure his side were switched on just before the break as the U’s snatched their equaliser.

MATT PRESTON – 5.5

Some decent challenges and read the game nicely to cut out Colchester attacks but lapses across the defence were so costly for Town.

ELLIS IANDOLO – 6.5

Improving all the time at left-back and was neat and tidy in everything he did.

AMINE LINGANZI – 5.5

Was not the commanding presence we have grown used to seeing and did not have much influence on the game.

MATT TAYLOR – 6

Two of his set-pieces led to goals but could not really get Town ticking in the middle of the park.

PAUL MULLIN – 6.5

All his usual energy and has a knack of either drawing fouls or stealing possession in advanced positions. Always looked to drive towards goal.

KESHI ANDERSON – 5

A rare quiet night for the Crystal Palace loanee and he barely featured before being withdrawn at half-time.

DONAL MCDERMOTT – 6

Did not show any ill-effects after missing the last six matches through injury and was always hustling and bustling to be in the thick of the action. Subbed late on.

KAIYNE WOOLERY – 7

Ran tirelessly towards some optimistic balls from team-mates early on before getting a deserved goal. A nuisance to the U’s defence throughout.

Substitutes:

KYLE KNOYLE – 5.5

(For Purkiss, 46) Will be pleased to make his league debut and was solid on the right.

JOHN GODDARD – 5.5

(For Anderson, 46) Always looks tidy on the ball but did not really get Town fizzing in attack.

KELLAN GORDON – 6.5

(For McDermott, 68) Added a bit of impetus in the final 20 minutes and got a goal too.

Subs not used: Will Henry, Chris Robertson, James Dunne, James Brophy.
