DIVISION One Sutton Benger produced another cup upset by ending the hopes of top-flight Lacock in the preliminary round of the Ken Clarke-sponsored WG Parr Trophy.

Lacock suffered a 4-2 defeat as goals from Alex Bell and James Weston cancelled out Josh Hard’s effort for Lacock to give Benger a 2-1 half-time lead.

A second from Bell along with a Nathan Todd goal meant that Jason Cole’s own goal could not derail Benger’s passage to the final 16.

Calne BFC put their poor league form behind them to defeat third division Old Road 6-2, Ben Wickens with a first-half hat-trick.

Dave Herring, Aaron Clegg’s penalty and Stuart Windsor also found the net as Road responded through Matty Poole and Nathan Walker.
