MILLWALL boss Neil Harris has labelled tomorrow’s County Ground encounter as his side’s biggest game of the season as the Lions continue to pursue a play-off spot in League One.

In contrast to Town’s rotten run of form - just three wins in 20 matches since the start of December - the Londoners are one of League One’s in-form sides, with a 16-match unbeaten run stretching back to two weeks prior to their previous meeting, in which Swindon were beaten 2-0.

Millwall lie a place outside the play-off spots in seventh, but with Scunthorpe struggling and Southend only ahead of them on goal difference, the chance for a place inside the top six is tangible.

Only Tottenham Hotspur - courtesy of a 6-0 win at White Hart Lane in the quarter finals of the FA Cup two weeks ago - have managed to lower the colours of Harris’ side in 2016, a sequence that includes cup triumphs over Premier League Bournemouth and top-flight champions Leicester.

With Town floundering third from bottom, Millwall start tomorrow’s match as strong favourites but with two draws in their last two league encounters - including after a 3-3 midweek result at Rochdale - the manager is on his guard.

“What we’ve now got is a massive game on Saturday at Swindon - our biggest game of the season,” said Harris. “We have to make sure we’re better defensively as a unit.

“Sixteen unbeaten is a great record, but we can’t think we can roll into Swindon on Saturday and get a result.

“We have to get that balance between a good, solid team that gets a clean sheet, but also have the attacking purpose to be able to score goals.”
