LAWRENCE VIGOUROUX – 6
Not ever truly tested by the visitors but was neat and tidy with whatever did come his way.
BRADLEY BARRY – 6
Looked a little rusty after a lengthy lay-off and was not as involved in the game as much as Ormonde-Ottewill in the opposition full-back slot.
NATHAN THOMPSON – 7
One critical block early on showed he meant business and was a solid and last-line of defence whenever his team needed him to be.
LLOYD JONES – 6
Had a personal duel with Amad-Holloway that the Oldham man perhaps shaded but the Liverpool loanee still got in some important blocks.
BRANDON ORMONDE-OTTEWILL – 7
Not a busy afternoon in defence so was a useful outlet in attack as he got forward well, sending in some dangerous crosses.
CHARLIE COLKETT – 6
Was outshone by Ince, who dominated the midfield. A few clever passes in attack but poor with his set-pieces.
ROHAN INCE – 9
Powerful, energetic, dynamic. Brilliant performance as he won every ball and made a string of smart passes. Will be massive in Town’s relegation fight. Booked.
BEN GLADWIN – 7
Had much more of an influence on the game than recent weeks, drove forward well on occasion and seemed there to offer himself in every Town attack.
JAMES BROPHY – 7
Showed his abundance of pace and posed a real threat to the Latics down both flanks to send in several good balls into the box.
JONATHAN OBIKA – 8
After an indifferent return in recent weeks, was right up for this gave. Put his himself about amongst the Latics defene and was a focal point for all of Town’s attacks.
NICKY AJOSE – 6
Tested Oldham keeper Ripley twice in the first six minutes but disappeared after that. Tried to run some good channels but was not found often enough.
Substitutes:
JOHN GODDARD – 6
(For Brophy, 68) Tidy in possession and tried to add a bit more creativity as the hosts’ play waned in the second half.
LUKE NORRS – 6
(For Obika, 77) Was not on for long but always looked for the ball and got on the end of a few good chances.
DION CONROY – 5
(For Ince, 77) The game was already frenetic by the time of his arrival so he was bypassed slightly.
Not used: Will Henry, Conor Thomas, Anton Rodgers, Yaser Kasim.
