HAVING disposed of top Swindon Sunday League side Greyhound in the previous round of the Wiltshire Sunday Cup, Dursley Arms' reward was a home tie with Cup holders Walcot FC also from Swindon.
The Trowbridge-based side were at their best as a 7-1 win saw them blow their opponents away to claim a place in the last four.
Martin Johnson set Dursley on their way, Jordan Pinder doubled their advantage and the tie was as good as over in the first period as a second for Johnson put them 3-0 up at the break.
Jake Hiscocks added number four and also missed a penalty after Walcot had pulled a goal back, but his miss wasn’t costly as Leon Greenland, Connor McKay and Ryan Baggs all found the net to hand Joe Kirkpatrick’s team their deserved win.
