SWINDON Town have strengthened their squad on transfer deadline day with the signing of midfielder Sean Murray on a free transfer from Premier League side Watford.

The deal was Town’s only bit of business on the final day of the transfer window, with no players departing the County Ground.

Swindon were linked with a move for Wycombe Wanderers’ Aaron Pierre but the League Two side confirmed they had turned down a bid from an unnamed club for the defender.

Meanwhile, one-time Town target Keshi Anderson joined League One rivals Bolton Wanderers on loan from Crystal Palace.

The futures of striker Jonathan Obika and midfielder Yaser Kasim at the club looked uncertain earlier this summer with their contracts due to expire at the end of the season but they will now both remain in Wiltshire until at least the January transfer window.
