CHIPPENHAM TOWN recorded a comprehensive victory against robust Toolstation League visitors Hallen at Hardenhuish Park last night.

Alan Griffin and fellow striker Dave Pratt both found the net and both full backs, Conor McCormack and Nuno Felix, also found their way on to the scoresheet.

Visiting keeper Sam Burgess held on to early efforts from Griffin and Matt Smith before Chippenham took the lead on 20 minutes when good work by Pratt saw him cross to Griffin who tapped home.

Three minutes later the lead was doubled as McCormack let fly from wide out on the right and his shot cannoned in off a post.

Alex Ferguson was twice off target before the break whilst James Guthrie dragged his effort wide.

Hallen were first to show after the interval with Bluebirds' trialist keeper Mike Lewis saving from Leroy Swabby and Saffron.

Chippenham hit their third midway through the second period when Macauley Dodson played in fellow substitute Chris Allen whose low cross was thumped home by Pratt.

On 71 minutes substitute Ryan Campbell cut in from the right but his effort was saved by Burgess.

Four minutes later Felix's rasping 30-yard drive flew into the top corner of the net to complete a satisfying evening for the Bluebirds.
