CORSHAM swimmer Stephanie Millward has booked her ticket to the Rio Paralympics later this year after dipping under the British swimming qualification time for the S9 400m freestyle in Glasgow this morning.

Millward, 34, will travel to her third Paralympic Games in Brazil after clocking 4:49.36 at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre, well inside the 4:50.92 set as the qualifying target by British Swimming.

Millward, who is training in Manchester in the run-up to the Games, was fourth in this morning's multi classification event at the British Para-Swimming International Meet behind her good friend Ellie Simmonds.

Earlier in the championships she had fallen short of the British qualifying mark in the S9 100m freestyle and the 100m backstroke, but will now hope to build on the fourth individual silver medals she won at London 2012.
