BREMHILL View had in terms of the battle for the Division One runners-up spot, a massive victory at Somerford in midweek, followed that up with a 5-1 triumph over Miller Sports FC.

As long as they avoid defeat in their final two games Ben Redford’s side will be certain of playing top flight football next season.

Kieron Gleed and Redford himself gave Bremhill a 2-0 lead which was halved when Ben Cooper full a goal back for Miller.

Gleed added goals three and four which completed his three-timer and took his tally for the season to 21.

Billy Gleed bagged his team's fifth which saw them avenge their 4-2 loss from early March.

Both Bath Road and Somerford went into their game at Biddestone having suffered midweek defeats which somewhat derailed their chances of claiming an automatic promotion place along with Corsham Centre.

A 1-1 draw saw Somerford’s hopes completely disappear, while Bath Road who play Bremhill View next weekend have an outside chance of taking the runners-up spot.

Somerford took the lead early on when Ashley Monaghan fired home after Luke Jones had made a brilliant save to keep out the initial effort.

Matt White volleyed home Bath Road’s equaliser on 30 minutes, but it was keeper Jones who excelled as his second-half performance saw him deny Somerford a winner on numerous occasions.

With the Division One title as good as won before their trip to Calne BFC, Pete Ralph’s Corsham Centre Youth side confirmed themselves as divisional winners thanks to a 4-3 triumph over their battling hosts.

Aaron Tyler gave Calne, who had suffered a 6-2 loss when the teams last met, a shock lead, but normal business looked to have been resumed when Shaun Paradise restored parity and James Lye scored from the penalty spot to give Corsham the lead.

Calne fought back and went in at the break on level terms thanks to Dean Fry’s equaliser.

Craig Gingell regained the lead for Corsham, however it was soon wiped out as a second from Fry tied the scores at three apiece.

Centre finally put the game to bed when James Lye headed home to make it 4-3, however with almost the last kick of the game the crossbar came to the rescue as it denied Calne what would have been a deserved equaliser.

Since lifting the WG Parr Trophy a fortnight ago, Rowdy Cow Rowde have had a mixed bag of results, their last outing saw them become the first team to take a point from champions Corsham Centre.

At home to Pheasant FC, who arrived at Sands Lane on the back of a 6-4 midweek win over Bath Road, they showed their true form with a 5-2 win which all but ends their rivals hopes of a top two finish.

Matt Lever and Steven House cancelled out Shahram Hemmati’s first half effort for Pheasant.

The second period saw Hemmati net his second of the game, however it was little more than a consolation as Steven House completed his hat-trick with a brace and Bradley Whitbread made certain of the win with his first goal in over a month.
