SWINDON Town Ladies are in cup action tomorrow when they make the trip down the M4 to face Old Actonians in the second round of the FA Women’s Premier League Cup.

The two sides have never met as the London side play in Division One South East and Town compete in Division One South West.

Old Actonians are currently in eighth place in their league, collecting 11 points from eight outings, while Town arrive in the capital flying high in third spot with 17 points from seven and have a game in hand on leaders Larkhall Athletic.

To reach this stage of the competition, the Londoners have beaten Denham and Shanklin, while Town had a walkover in the opening round before accounting for Larkhall in the next round.

But Town have also not played in the last fortnight and boss Steve Robertson is keen to get back on the pitch.

He said: “It will be good to get back into action again after two weeks without a game. We don’t know much about Old Actonians so need to concentrate on our own performance.

“It’s a cup competition and it’s always good to progress.”
