JOE Hughes has had his English title defence cancelled.

The light-welterweight king of England was due to face Sunderland’s Glenn Foot as the main event on the Lights Out show at the Oasis Leisure Centre next weekend.

However, that contest is no longer taking place and the Malmesbury fighter will instead be in an eight-round contest.

Kelvin Young’s third clash with Sam Couzens has also been postponed after the Titchfield man was forced to withdraw.

The Penhill pugilist will now face Telford’s Kieron Gray for the light-heavyweight Challenge title.

Meanwhile, Kelly Morgan has also had a change of opponent for her fight next weekend.

Instead of facing Elene Sikmashvili from Georgia, the 2002 Commonwealth Games javelin bronze medallist is taking on Hungarian Melinda ‘Angry Bird’ Lazar.

Tickets for the Lights Out show are priced £35 unreserved or £60 VIP for more information visit www.kmpromotions.co.uk
