PETER Kildemand has announced today that he will be teaming up with Swedish club Piraterna Motala next season.

The Dane was has moved to Darcy Ward’s former team from Lejonen, where he spent the 2015 season, and will join up with the likes of 2016 Grand Prix rider Piotr Pawlicki.

In a statement on his website, Kildemand said: “The club has in recent years achieved impressive results with the championship in 2011 and 2013.

“In 2012 it was silver and this season a semi-final place. For 2016, Piraterna again build a strong team that will fight for the championship.”

With the recent changes to the Swedish league, where eight teams will now ride 14 matches in the season, with the best four teams entering the play-offs, the season will be significantly longer, but Kildemand has said he would be open to a return to Swindon if the opportunity presented itself.

With the Danish rider not being in the Grand Prix series next year it should leave his calendar more open to fit in an Elite League spot with his exploits in Europe.

“I am hoping for it (to be back in the Elite League next season),” he told the Adver after the play-offs.

“I would like to do England and if I can fit it into the schedule I will do it, but we will see.

“If I can fit it in then I would like to come back.”
