BIDDESTONE have won the Glos/Wilts Division with a 122-run success at Gloucester AIW Sports.

Aled Evans (66), Stuart Kingwell (28*), Matt Unwin (26) and Kieran Gash (19*) helped the visitors declare on 210-6 from 39.5 overs.

In reply, only three AIW batsmen achieved double figures, with Anis Kara and Yusef Parekh top-scoring with 13 runs each as they were all out for 88 in the 34th over. Rob Horn (3-21), Gash (3-24), Mark Unwin (2-8) and Evans (1-22) did the damage.

Winsley’s time in the West of England Premier League ended with a 12-run loss at Marlborough.

With the first team relegated to Wiltshire League Division Two, the second XI are expected to ply their trade in Division Seven next year.

At Savernake, Winsley struggled to restrict their hosts as Marlborough posted 238-7, with Mark Wingfield-Digby (75) and Vital Guntaka (58) leading the charge.

Damian Barry (59) and Luke Wright (74) shared a 109-run opening stand for Winsley but they could get themselves over the finishing line.

Meanwhile, Chippenham ended their season with a one-wicket loss at Hatherley and Reddings.

In Premier One, Craig Chaplin’s 5-42 for Corsham was not enough for them to defeat Frocester as they were bowled out for 133 chasing the Gloucestershire side’s 240-8.

Potterne finished fifth in Premier Two as they defeated Old Westbury Bristolians by two wickets.

Aaron Kyte’s 3-48 helped the visitors dismiss Bristolians for 161 while Potterne needed a 61-run eighth wicket stand between Sam Gaiger (32) and Jordan Rose (28*) to steer them home.

Goatacre’s season ended with four-wicket defeat to Taunton St Andrews.

Looking good at 215-4 after 37 overs, the Goats were all out for 242 from 40.3 overs, with Stephen Baker (78) and Mark Hunt (56) seeing their good work wasted.

In reply, Steve Jenkins hit an unbeaten century to see the Somerset side home.

Burbage’s bid to become the Wiltshire Division champions ended with a defeat to league-leaders Lechlade.

Sitting in second place, Burbage headed to the Manor Ground knowing they required a win for the title and Dan Swatton picked up 4-39 as Lechlade were bowled out for 187.

However, the top four batsman were dismissed with only 20 runs posted and Burbage were out for 112, Teddy Strong top-scoring with 35.
