Swindon v Leyton Orient

Where has the season gone? Here we are at the last match of the regular season with just a few issues still to be finalised.

Who will be promoted alongside Bristol City? Who will be relegated along with Yeovil? Colchester play hosts to Preston, where Preston need the points to ensure automatic promotion and Colchester need the win to stand any chance of survival. MK Dons have a similar scenario. They need the win against already relegated Yeovil and hope that Colchester’s desire is greater than the Lillywihtes.

The last issue to be settled is who Swindon will face in the play-Off semi final, as both Sheffield and Chesterfield face up to each other at Bramall Lane. The Blades have the upper hand, being two points clear of Chesterfield, but the Spireites will want to finish on a high and get one over their near-neighbours.

With the visit of The O’s to the County Ground, we can play a part in their fate. Orient will be desperate for the three points to stand any chance of staying up. Our fourth place finish is assured but I hope that we end the season on a high and put down a marker for the play-offs.
