TROY Batchelor failed to register a point as the opening event of the Grand Prix Series in Warsaw ended in a farce.

The Swindon Robins ace twice came off his bike in the Polish capital and was amongst a number of fallers at the Stadion Narodowy, which led to the meeting being abandoned after 12 heats amid fears for the riders’ safety.

Batchelor’s second fall came in what turned out to be the final heat of the night, with the remainder of the evening’s action called off with the result standing following a lengthy riders’ meeting.
