ADVER Sport's chief sports writer hands out his ratings from Town's 2-0 defeat to Sheffield United.
Wes Foderingham
Nervy with the ball at his feet and forced to kick long more often than he would like, could do nothing about the goals. 5
Raphael Branco (booked)
Not a reliable presence, looked a weak link in the second half against Adams and left Nathan Thompson exposed. 5
Nathan Thompson (booked)
Caught in possession on a number of occasions and was lucky to get away with it. Led a back line that had a poor second half. 5
Jordan Turnbull (booked)
Exposed by Reed and Murphy at times, poor distribution and judgement throughout. 5
Nathan Byrne (booked)
Looked threatening with the ball at his feet but made poor decisions when well placed. 6
Jack Stephens
Almost anonymous as a screen in front of the defence, but his distribution was decent. 6
John Swift (booked)
Easily Town’s best player and for large parts the game’s best player. However he had a couple of good opportunities to score and didn’t, Town paid for that profligacy. 7
Louis Thompson
Drove well out of midfield and was not at fault for much of the poor play in the second, remained in credit. 7
Harry Toffolo (booked)
Started well but faded and over-hit several crosses when well placed. 6
Andy Williams
Quiet game from the hot shot striker whose touch was off. 5
Jonathan Obika
Looked sharp and might consider himself unlucky to have been replaced when he was. 6
Subs
Michael Smith (on for Obika, 61)
So short of confidence, does not look the same player he was two months ago. 5
Jermaine Hylton (on for Williams, 82)
Little time to make an impact. 6
What do you think? Who was your star man?
