TEENAGE lock Charlie Ewels has been confirmed as Bath's captain for tomorrow’s LV= Cup match against London Welsh at the Rec (3pm).

Coach Toby Booth revealed this week that Ewels, who starred in the back row in the European Rugby Challenge Cup defeat to Toulouse last weekend, would lead the team out against the Exiles, making his second start.

No fewer than 14 current and former members of Bath's Academy are included in the home squad, Ewels partnering Tom Ellis in the second row, behind a front row of loosehead Nick Auterac, hooker Ross Batty and tighthead Kane Palma-Newport.

Openside Guy Mercer, blindside Max Northcote-Green and number eight David Sisi form the back row, while Chris Cook and Gavin Henson start at nine and 10 respectively.

Inside centre Ollie Devoto and outside centre Matt Banahan are in midfield, with full-back Luke Arscott and wings Horacio Agulla and Olly Woodburn completing the line-up.
