NEW loan signing Amari’i Bell is hoping to show the Swindon Town faithful more of his abilities during the rest of his stay at SN1.

The 20-year-old arrived at the County Ground at the start of last week before his temporary switch from Birmingham City was completed on Friday.

That allowed the left-sided player made his debut in the 3-0 success at Barnsley on Saturday.

“I started training on the Monday and I found out that I was starting on the Friday,” said Bell, who started the campaign on loan at the League Two side Mansfield.

“I really enjoyed it, it was a good game to come into.

“The first half we struggled to get into our rhythm, the second we did that well and won the game.

“I like the way that they always want to pass the ball and want to play, that is good team to come into.

“They never stop working hard, all around the field for the whole game. So what you need is hard work.”

Bell, who also had loan spells at Conference Premier outfit Kidderminster Harriers and Nuneaton Town, admitted that it took some time to get into the match at Oakwell.

“I know it was a bit difficult but you have got to stay mentally strong, stay in the game and concentrate because you can’t afford to switch off,” he said.

“I thought that I could have got into the game a bit more, but hopefully I can do that in more games.

“It always good to keep a clean sheet – the lads are buzzing with it.”

Town boss Mark Cooper described Bell as a trialist when he was spotted at Rodney Parade on Tuesday night and the youngster said that he learnt a lot from watching his new teammates play in that Johnstone’s Paint Trophy match “I enjoyed watching that game, I thought that they passed the ball well and the first half they did well to play out from the back.”
