WILDCATS head coach Ryan Aldridge knows his side face a much tougher task when they head to Guildford tonight.

Cats lost at the Link Centre last night, as the Guildford Flames inflicted their first defeat of the season.

Second period goals from Marcus Kristoffersson and Matt Towe gave the visitors a two goal lead.

Wildcats twice reduced the deficit to just one goal with strikes from Aaron Nell and then Jan Kostal replied to Tom Duggan’s goal, when he made the most of two Guildford players in the sin bin.

Ben Campbell secured the win for Guildford when he was put through one-on-one with Stevie Lyle and he wrong footed the stopper to score.

Now Swindon must travel to the Spectrum in Guildford and, while they will be looking for revenge, Aldridge knows the size of the task ahead of them against one of the best Guildford sides he has ever seen.

“It is a tougher ask at their rink I think, we have got to go there and play a very smart road game,” he said.

“They just play even harder in their rink and both teams built up a lot of ice time tonight so we have players who will be tired.

“But we will see, we are obviously going there with a game plan and hopefully we can pull it off.”
