BRADFORD Town and Wootton Bassett Town will meet in the preliminary round of the FA Cup after both came through their extra preliminary round ties on Saturday.

Dan King scored twice as Bradford claimed a 4-3 triumph over Hampshire visitors Moneyfields, Jack Hopper and Dan Shanley also on target for Paul Shanley's men.

Bassett romped to a 3-0 victory at New Forest hosts Brockenhurst.

Melksham Town must try again tonight after a 1-1 draw at Longwell Green Sports, Ben Thomson on target, while Corsham Town are also out after a 3-2 home defeat by Horndean, Keiron Gleed and Matty Jenkins on target for the home side.

Pewsey Vale's FA Cup journey ended at the first hurdle as they were defeated 1-0 at home by Sherborne Town.

In the Toolstation League First Division, Calne Town claimed a home point as they drew 3-3 with Cheddar, Glenn Armstrong  Mark Dolman and Neurin .Jones the Lilywhites' scorers.

Devizes Town were beaten 2-1 by Ashton & Backwell United, Tom Price on target for the home side.

Westbury United were denied victory at home to Wellington as the Somerset visitors grabbed a last-gasp leveller 2-2 draw at Meadow Lane, where the home side's Mark Young was sent off after the final whistle.

After just five minutes, the impressive Matt Mead was fouled by Wellington keeper Jake Viney and Young powered in the penalty.

Wellington always looked dangerous and Alex Piper produced a lovely finish but the goal was disallowed for offside.

Westbury played some excellent football and at the end of good moves both Young and Simon Millard were guilty of bad misses. They were made to pay when Piper was brought down in the box by Jake Herd and Luke Porter scored from the spot to make it 1-1 on 36 minutes.

Adam Collington was in smart form in goal, doing well when defender Kevin Shinn diverted the ball towards goal then saving confidently from Luke Redrup.

United went ahead again just before half time when a poor DJ Wheeler free kick wasn’t defended properly allowing Millard to pass to the unmarked Young for an easy tap-in.

The second half was a different game with niggly play dominating and ultimately the frustrations spilled over. Initially Wellington’s Liam Cleal was unlucky to see a shot hit Collington’s right hand post and fly across the line to hit the other post before being cleared.

After that though there were very few openings with Young firing over the bar at one end before Westbury failed to clear their lines deep in injury time which allowed Luke Boyle the opportunity to make it 2-2.

This brought frustrations to the surface as the final whistle went soon after resulting in Young’s red card.

Warminster Town drew 1-1 with Roman Glass St George.
