SWINDON Town have drawn Sami Hyppia's Brighton & Hove Albion in the second round of the Capital One Cup.

Seagulls last visited back in the County Ground in 2012 as Alan Navarro scored twice on his debut to help Town dump Brighton out of the League Cup.

That was also in the second round so Town will be hoping lightning strikes twice on the Seagulls

There are plenty of current links between the two sides with Yaser Kasim, George Barker, Anton Rodgers and former Swindon captain Gordon Greer having played for both clubs.

The fixture will be played during the week commencing August 25.

Decent draw against a championship side at home could have been worse I suppose but winnable game me thinks. Last time we played them in the cup was when that sick note Navaro actually did anything decent. Only worry is could be another bruising game and it could take its toll on the youngsters but sure thing is it will harden them up. Met young kid Brad Smith today crikey he is one very young dude but real nice lad and looking forward to his time here and I gave him a rousing STFC welcome. Lets hope these young kids heal quick and we do not get too many bad injuries this season as that could be a disaster with the small squad. I was wondering if we have recalls built in to the loans out to other clubs.

Not quite a glamour tie, but one I think we could just nick. More importantly, it gives me a second chance to see the team in my short time in England this summer/autumn. Yippee.

Lightning won't strike twice. It was the first round we beat them in. 3-0 I think. The 2nd round was the unforgettable game away at Stoke!

Yes it was the first round. In fact it was the very first game of the season, due to the Olympics.

No chance of a TV tie though...
Couple of tasty derbies, Brentford vs Fulham and Bradford vs Leeds
Birmingham to put out Sunderland (poss TV)
And TV will typically pick Utd, so money for the franchise.
