JORDAN Turnbull has been given permission to play for Swindon Town this evening against Leeds United.

The young central defender was part of the Southampton side that was at the County Ground a fortnight ago.

It is hoped that Mark Cooper will then be able to seal a deal for a temporary switch to Wiltshire, but the club are still hoping to capture Turnbull’s Saints teammate Jack Stephens for the upcoming League One campaign.

If we are still in with a chance to get Stephens, wonder why he wasn't given permission to play tonight.

It looks like 3 of the 4 targets are probably Stephens, Turnbull and Lelan, no word yet about the additional striker. hope Lee comes up with a name this week if that's it now for friendlies before Scunthorpe, not much time left to get a settled starting 11.

Old Town,

"Fool's rush in". Hopefully the more patient approach to get the players we want will pay dividends.

Amazing what 24hrs can do in football!
.
This morning we have "no players" and now it looks like Turnbull, Smith AND Stephens are all to sign this week by the sounds of Cooper and Power
.
Also in talks with TWO strikers to ensure on arrives before the big KO
.
Plus working on a friendly for Sat to give them all game time
.
So our "chopping and changing" back line due to all the loans will see Wes, Thompson, Stephens, Branco and Byrne in it - who were all here last year!!!!!
.
Plus Turnbull knows Stephens - so should settle well!!
.
Certainly sticking to my prediction of top 10 with outside chance of POs

That crystal ball's in good shape LR! The only news about Stephens is that we're trying to get him.

You sure Den - thius is on the BBC: Power added: "They're trying to do their business and when they conclude what they need to do, we'll get Jack as well."
.
