ROBINS number one Peter Kildemand insisted his side have no excuses for not beating Poole this evening, given their impressive victory over leaders King’s Lynn last week.

Swindon were neck and neck with the Stars for much of last Thursday’s meeting before pulling away during the final five heats to win 50-40, with Kildemand and captain Troy Batchelor combining in the last race of the night to secure maximum points.

The Robins will be in for just as tough a test this evening when rivals Poole come to Town, but Kildemand is fully expecting his side to come away with another impressive victory.

“Poole is always a big match for us and we have to be looking to get all the points because we managed to beat King’s Lynn last week,” he said.

“We need to be winning matches like this and I’m sure it’s going to be a good one.

“We all did really well against King’s Lynn and if we do the same again then there’s no reason why we can’t beat Poole as well.

“After the King’s Lynn meeting we have to think we can do it although there’s a long way to go.

“Hopefully we can take some points away from the match and keep things going.”

Meanwhile, all Swindon fans taking the coach organised by the Robins to Saturday’s British GP are reminded it leaves at 10am.

All fans travelling on the coach are asked to be at the County Ground by 9.45am ahead of departure. The coach will return to Swindon 45 minutes after the end of the firework display at the Millennium Stadium.
