WILTSHIRE'S stellar summer continued unabated this morning as they wrapped up a nine-wicket triumph over hosts Berkshire at Falkland.

The visitors, who have yet to taste defeat in either the one-day or three-day form of the game in 2014, polished off to Berkshire second innings rapidly before knocking off the meagre target of 75 to secure their third successive Unicorns Championship Western Division win.

Mike Coles men were poised in perfect position to clinc victory after a super second-day display on Monday.

They reached 314 all out to overhaul Berkshire's first-innings total of 282 all out, Tahir Afridi hitting an unbeaten 70 off 109 balls and Coles smashing 58 off 49 balls before ripping through the home side's second innings with the ball.

Afridi, coming up against a handful of his Henley clubmates on the opposite side, took 3-26 and there were two wickets each for Ed Young and Jake Roberts as Berkshire were reduced to 86-8 at the end of the second day.

This morning, Corsham's Joe King claimed another wicket and the Berkshire innings was quickly ended at 106, leaving Wiltshire the relatively simple task of reaching 75 to claim the win.

This they did largely untroubled, despite losing Jayden Levitt for 33, Henry Langford finishing on 34 not out.

Wiltshire face Oxfordshire in their Unicorns Knockout Trophy semi final at Bicester & N Oxford CC on Sunday.
