BROMHAM youngster Libby Seed has been named on the long list for the Racesafe British team for this summer's Junior European Championships, at Bishop Burton in Yorkshire from August 14-17.

The 17 year old Dauntsey’s School student is included with 14 year old gelding What a Catch The final squad of 12, plus two reserves, will be announced following the trot up on Monday, July 21, after the final trial at Aston-le-Walls.

Seed previously helped Great Britain to Pony European Championships gold in Italy last year, riding Mr Vick.

Ginnie Keen, chairman of selectors, said: “We have a very exciting and talented long list of riders and horses who have worked very hard to get to where they are.

“All are going forward to Aston-Le-Walls for the final selection on Sunday 20th July, from where 12 will be selected for the European Championships at Bishop Burton.

“We will go to Bishop Burton with a great deal of positivity for a great competition and hopefully great results.”
