SWINDON pair Troy Batchelor and Peter Kildemand experienced mixed fortunes in their Grand Prix qualifier in Gorican on Saturday night.

Danish racer Kildemand advanced to the GP Challenge in Lonigo courtesy of a strong showing in Croatia.

Despite two last places in his opening three rides, the Robins man recorded three race wins to edge into the all-important top seven on nine points.

However, GP regular Batchelor could not make the most of a strong start to the meeting as he was unable to progress to the final round of the qualification process.

A tapes exclusion in the Australian's final ride proved costly as he ended with seven points in 10th place.

It was a hugely disappointing result for the current GP rider, who will now need to earn a top eight place in the current Grand Prix series to retain his place for the 2015 campaign.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINAL, Gorican (Croatia) Hans Andersen 12, Linus Sundstrom 11 (after run-off), Janusz Kolodziej 11, Maciej Janowski 10, Thomas H.
