WILTSHIRE are through to the quarter finals of the Unicorns Knockout Trophy with a match to spare after a 37-run triumph over hosts Dorset in Bournemouth yesterday.

Corsham's Ashur Morrison, who was left out of the side that beat Cornwall last weekend, hit an unbeaten 41 and took 5-56 as the home side were bowled out for 257, chasing the 294-7 posted by Neil Shardlow's side, who have yet to taste defeat this summer.

The visitors won the toss and decided to bat at Dean Park, openers Ed Kilbee and Tom Morton being dismissed for 13 and 21 respectively.

The foundation was laid by wicketkeeper Adam Miles (46) and Potterne's Neil Clark (53), who put on 96 for the third wicket.

James Hayward (50) and skipper Mike Coles (31) added 53 for the fifth wicket and there were useful contributions from Henry Langford (19) and Morrison.

For Dorset, there were two wickets each for Matt Carpenter and Sam Thomson.

Jake Lintott (35) and Mike Porter (21) gave Devon a solid start with a partnership of 59 and Luke Webb added 65 skipper Chris Park 30 and Mark Wolstenholme 27 as the home side pursued their target.

But Morrison ripped through the lower order in his nine overs, Hayward claiming two victims while there were wickets each for Tahir Afridi, Jake Roberts and Tom Foley.
