BATH Academy graduate Chris Cook has committed to the West Country side for a further 12 months.

Scrum-half Cook, 23, was a key member of the Aviva A League-winning Bath United side in December before a successful loan period with Cornish Pirates.

He is currently part of the London Welsh squad fighting for promotion to the Aviva Premiership from the Greene King IPA Championship.

“I’m delighted to stay at Bath,” Cook said. “I started my career here, and to be part of this club as it looks to continue developing over the coming seasons is a really exciting opportunity for me.”

Bath head coach Mike Ford added: “Cookie is a very talented young player, and we’re looking forward to helping him to improve and hone the skills he already has to make him even better.”
