SWINDON TOWN: Cox joins Plymouth

FORMER Swindon Town midfielder Lee Cox has joined Plymouth Argyle.

Cox, who made six appearances for Town in 2013/14, scoring one goal, was released by the Robins after the final game of the campaign against Rotherham United 10 days ago.

He spent a successful loan spell at Argyle towards the end of the 2012/13 season before suffering a major shoulder injury.

I agree. Cox had a good start for town.then had a fall out with the ego maniac and from then on was treated like s..t good luck to the lad. Never let town down for me.

Spoke to him at the Supporters' Club dinner. Very nice lad, seemed to have made the best of a bad situation, and glad he finally got a few games to show us what he could do. Has some interesting words about the man who brought him here and then never played him...

Only thing is, he lives near Leicester, so Plymouth's gonna be a haul!

He did play him once or twice, saw him at Hereford two years ago and to be honest he did not have a good game, Saw him a couple of times recently and he scored a great goal, looked like Cooper had got him playing again and I thought he was actually in with a good chance of being kept on, but guess either the fact we just have too many mid-fielders of a similar ilk or his wages were the deciding factor.

Anyway wish him well and I'm sure he'll fit in nicely at Plymouth

I think for someone with so much potential, according to Terry Butcher, he's probably had a rough deal to say the least, during the whole of his time here. I feel sorry for the young man.
