GRANT Hall will be available for selection when Brentford visit Swindon Town this weekend, provided he emerges through today's development XI fixture intact.

Hall, who has been sidelined for almost two months with a calf injury, played a part as Town beat Bristol Rovers 1-0 in a friendly this afternoon, as Jamie Reckord scored the only goal of the game.

As long as he shows no ill-effects from that outing, Swindon manager Mark Cooper believes the Tottenham loanee will be ready to be considered for selection on Saturday.

“I think after today, if he gets through today, then he will be available for selection and then we have to decide whether we change the three at the back, who have played particularly well," said Cooper.

“It’s no good having 45 players or whatever you have in a squad and knowing that 20 of them can’t really help you. You’re better off having a smaller squad, knowing all of them can play.

“Grant is very similar to the ones we’ve got. The ones we’ve got are all very comfortable on the ball and can run and so is Grant."
