PREDICTIONS LEAGUE: Swindon Town v Preston North End

Swindon are at home this weekend to Preston North End and the Town will be looking to bring an end to the resent poor run of games. They are without a win in the past 5 home games. You have to go back to the Shrewsbury game were we took the lead only for The Shrews to even things up on the stroke of half time.

If there was going to be any winner it was going to be Shrewsbury. They kept pressing forward, looking for their second goal that would give them the 3 points. In the dying minutes of the game, Swindon countered and Ranger popped up to head home from close range. Shell shocked, Shrewsbury were deflated, even more so when Ranger became provider and Michael Smith got the third in stoppage time. Shrewsbury were mugged.

We could do with that on Saturday. Well the score line, but not the constant pressure from the opposition. Preston will be endeavouring to keep up their challenge for an automatic promotion stop that would see them return to the Championship after three seasons in League One. The last time Preston lost in the league was their away trip to Molineux back on January 11th.

The Town are due a home win, but they have to work for it. The fans expect, but if Swindon suffer another home defeat, let’s hope they don’t capitulate early and it becomes a rout. A strong performance is needed from all quarters. With determination, commitment and belief, the boys can get the win.
