CHIPPENHAM Town manager Mark Collier has confirmed that Rob Dean suffered a dislocated knee in last night's abandoned clash with Hungerford Town.

The 24-year-old was attended to on the Bulpit Lane pitch by paramedics after going down in a challenge from Hungerford's former Bluebirds man Ian Herring and had to be taken to Swindon's Great Western Hospital, with referee Reuben Simon bringing the game the game to a premature end after around 26 minutes.

Dean's right leg is in plaster today after the midfielder had his leg corrected last night and the Chippenham man is currently awaiting further scans to determine the full extent of his further injuries, including a potential broken ankle.

Collier said: "Rob's in a full plaster now after having the leg put back into place last night - they don't now too much about his ankle yet but I understand that he hasn't had a break, which hopefully is a positive thing.

"He's got to have more scans on his leg to see just how bad the damage is to his ankle and shin but hopefully, if nothing shows up, he may be released from hospital later on today."
