5:23pm

Join me again tomorrow for Day Three, which features the Ladbrokes World Hurdle and the Ryanair Chase, among other exciting races.

5:22pm

That concludes the coverage of today's racing. Look out for the Adver tomorrow, where I will have roundd up everything that happened today. There is sure to be a focus on the brilliant win for Nico de Boinville on Whisper, for Nicky Henderson.

5:19pm

Full Result:

1. Silver Concorde

2. Shaneshill

3. Joshua Lane

4. Black Hercules

AP McCoy is tracking the leader on Definitely Red

5:15pm

Black Hercules leads at the start

5:15pm

And they're off...

5:14pm

Our Kaempfer just took a bit of time to join the pack there

5:09pm

22 horses will contest this last race.

5:08pm

Word in the paddock is that Value At Risk and Vigil are two to look out for.

5:07pm

It's another big field, so it's hard to call a winner in this. The favourite is Shaneshill, another Walsh-Mullins combination.

5:06pm

No local trainers in this. AP McCoy is set to ride Definitely Red for trainer Steve Gollings

5:05pm

Last race of the day coming up at 5.15pm. It is the Weatherbys Champion Bumper, a Grade 1 over 2m110y. For those of you who don't know, a 'bumper' is a flat race for national hunt horses.

4:47pm

For those taking note, four leaf clovers clearly don't bring good luck.

4:46pm

It was a nasty fall for Clarcam, let's hope him and jockey Bryan Cooper are alright.

4:46pm

AP McCoy's Cheltenham Festival is not going to plan. He fell early on, on Goodwood Mirage.

4:44pm

Full Result:

1. Hawk High

2. Katgary

3. Orgilgo Bay

4. Keltus

5. Baradari

4:44pm

The winner there was Hawk High

4:43pm

Clarcam had taken the lead but then fell

4:42pm

Orgilgo Bay is in second, behind Azza

4:42pm

Ballyglasheen has been pulled up

4:41pm

Azza is the early leader

4:40pm

And they're off...

4:40pm

The horses are at the start

4:36pm

Katgary for Paul Nicholls should put in a good run, according to a connection in the paddock. David Pipe’s Azza is another hopeful.

4:35pm

If you are a keen follower of Ruby Walsh at Cheltenham, he rides Ivan Grozny, who wears a tongue tie for the first time.

4:34pm

AP McCoy rides Goodwood Mirage for Jonjo O’Neill.

4:34pm

My pick of the paddock is number 12, Goodwood Mirage, purely because the stable lads have carefully groomed four leaf clovers onto it:The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald:

4:17pm

Nicky Henderson has the favourite, Dawalan.

4:16pm

Coming up at 4.40 we have the Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle.

4:11pm

If that race had been even a metre longer, Any Currency would have taken that.

4:10pm

That was very, very close. Winning distance was a short head.

4:10pm

Full Result:

4:05pm

Big mistake by Any Currency

4:05pm

All 16 runners are still going

4:04pm

They've navigated the cheese wedge

4:03pm

This a pretty bizarre race to watch, with that double hedge and bank

4:02pm

Same order still

4:01pm

Balthazar King in fourth, Sizing Australia in fifth

4:01pm

Any Currency in second, Duke of Lucca in third

4:00pm

Sire Collonges leads

4:00pm

And they're off...

3:56pm

They are just lining up for the race now.

3:53pm

There are 16 runners in this

3:53pm

There are no local trainers or jockeys in this (to my knowledge), so I will pick an Enda Bolger horse to win this, and of those I favour Love Rory.

3:51pm

If you like your statistics, then you will be backing an Irish horse in this, considering an Irish-trained horse has won 8 of the 9 editions of this race.

3:50pm

Next up at 4pm is the cross country chase (Glenfarclas Handicap Chase), which is run over a different course. The varied styles of fences come with interesting names, from 'cheese wedges' to 'stuffed hurdles'.

3:46pm

Somersby and Sizing Europe, two relative veterans, also ran very well to get in the places. Nicky Henderson's two horses, on the other hand, ran pretty poorly.

3:45pm

That was a popular winner indeed! Father-son partnership, favourite wins, it's a good story.

3:25pm

Winning jockey was Jamie Moore, winning trainer his father Gary Moore

3:24pm

Full result:

1. Sire De Grugy

2. Somersby

3. Module

4. Sizing Europe

Sizing Europe is in fourth

3:22pm

Somersby moves through to take the lead

3:21pm

Somersby and Arvika Ligeonniere at the front with Special Tiara

3:20pm

Special Tiara takes the early lead

3:20pm

And they're off...

3:20pm

They are about to start.

3:20pm

Somersby could return to his best, for Swindon-born trainer Mick Channon.

3:19pm

12-year-old Sizing Europe is back to try and win this, after his victory in 2011.

3:19pm

Nicky Henderson is looking for a hat-trick Champion Chase, after Finian's Rainbow in 2011 and Sprinter Sacre in 2012.

3:15pm

Many think Sire de Grugy is a ridiculous price for a horse that hasn’t won at Cheltenham, won’t particularly like the drying ground, and has been beaten by two horses in this race, Kid Cassidy and Captain Conan. However, the Gary Moore-trained 8-year-old did look an impressive novice last season, and could prove the doubters wrong.

3:14pm

Nicky Henderson has two runners in this, without Sprinter Sacre, with Kid Cassidy and Captain Conan.

3:14pm

Now for the feature race of the day, the favourite for which is Sire de Grugy, who has been backed into 11/4.

3:12pm

Winning trainer Nicky Henderson said: "We needed that, Nico gave him a very good ride."

3:12pm

Nico de Boinville on his first Cheltenham winner, and first Cheltenham Festival winner: "Unreal. It's unbelievable, a very good experience."

3:09pm

Just before we build up to the Champion Chase at 3.20pm, I heard from Nico de Boinville.

2:48pm

2:45pm

Its a very close finish between Whisper and Get Me Out Of Here

2:44pm

Get Me Out Of Here coming up for AP McCoy

2:43pm

Whisper, Cotton Mill and Yesyoucan just behind

2:42pm

Clondaw Kaempfer in second, behind 2012 winner Son of Flicka

2:41pm

Vendor is at the back

2:40pm

Son of Flicka leads

2:40pm

And they're off...

2:37pm

They are just making their way to the start.

2:36pm

From the rest, Cotton Mill and Far West have been tipped by some of the pundits.

2:35pm

The favourite is Dell' Arca, who is shortening as I type. Bayan is not far off.

2:34pm

AP McCoy rides Get Me Out Of Here for Jonjo O’Neill, and Felix de Giles rides Foxcub for Tom Symonds, which is the lowest weight of 10st 7lbs.

2:32pm

Nicky Henderson has Whisper, ridden by Nico de Boinville, which has the second weight of 11st 11lbs.

2:32pm

Alan King had a 1-2 in this last year, when Medinas stormed home in front of Meister Eckhart. This year, the latter of those returns, and King will hope he can go one better. King also has Vendor, who will be ridden by Jack Doyle.

2:31pm

Next up is the Coral Cup, a Grade 3 handicap hurdle over 2m5f. This race is notoriously hard to call, and the favourites don’t typically do well in it. First let’s look at the local trainers and jockeys in this.

2:30pm

Le Bec is at the front of the main pack

2:06pm

Corrin Wood takes the early lead, frorm Annacotty

2:05pm

And they're off

2:04pm

If Ballycasey wins this it will be yet another Walsh-Mullins victory.

2:04pm

Horses making their way down to the start now. Quite a few greys in this for those of you who like them: Ballycasey, Corrin Wood, Gevrey Chambertin and Smad Place.

1:59pm

The last 7 winners of this race have been seven years old, which the majority of the runners today are, but on that statistic AP’s ride may be a year too old.

1:59pm

Lambourn trainer Oliver Sherwood also has Many Clouds, and Champion Jockey AP McCoy rides Carlingford Lough for John Kiely.

1:58pm

Alan King will be hoping his Smad Place can upset the favourite Ballycasey. King said to me recently: “[Smad Place] ticks a lot of the boxes, and he has been placed at the last two Festivals, which is important. There are certain horses that show they can go and take the atmosphere in their stride.”

1:58pm

There are 15 runners in this Grade 1.

1:57pm

Next up we have the RSA Chase at 2.05pm.

1:57pm

A very happy Ruby Walsh. He said: "Going for the last I thought 'Gees I hope I get this right, I don't want to fluff this' and he hit it spot on and pinged it!"The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald:

And they're off...

1:30pm

Shanahan's Turn was just delaying proceedings, but is making his way down to the start now.

1:29pm

Almost ready for our first race of the day.

1:24pm

The horses are just making their way down to the track. Second favourite Red Sherlock has shortened to 4/1, Faugheen still 6/4.

1:23pm

Faugheen looking very calm in the paddock. I never go for the favourite but he looks the most focused of these youngsters.

1:18pm

The New One won this last year for Nigel Twiston-Davies, and Simonsig the year before for Nicky Henderson, so the winner often turns into a useful hurdler.

1:12pm

Another local trainer with a runner in this is Warren Greatrex, who has Cole Harden. Despite being beaten by 16 lengths on his most recent outing, this gelding has won three times this season.

1:10pm

Nicky Henderson has two in this, Cocktails at Dawn and Cup Final, who will be saddled by AP McCoy. Henderson was due to have three runners, but Royal Boy was reportedly lame this morning so is a non-runner.

1:09pm

The stand-alone favourite in this is Faugheen, currently at 6/4 in most places

1:03pm

So, first up is the Neptune Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle Race. This is run over 2m5f, and is a Grade 1 hurdle, with 15 runners.

1:01pm

First things first, here is today's racecard:

1.30 Neptune Investment Management Novices’ Hurdle Race
2.05 RSA Steeple Chase
2.40 Coral Cup
3.20 BetVictor Queen Mother Champion Steeple Chase
4.05 Glenfarclas Handicap Steeple Chase
4.40 Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle Race
5.15 Weatherbys Champion Bumper

1:00pm

I've just seen Nicky Henderson leave the weighing room with saddle in hand, and with half an hour to go it is time to build up to the first race of the day.

12:58pm

The sun has just come out, and the fog has mostly cleared. Great news!

12:40pm

Are you at Cheltenham today, watching from home or sneakily updating at work? Have any strong opinions on Sire de Grugy being such a short price in the Champion Chase? Or any shrewd tips to give?

I would love to hear from you, either tweet using the hashtag #adverfest or to me directly @lauralambert8 or you can comment below.

12:37pm

The official going today is Good, Good to Soft in places on the Chase and Hurdle course, and Good to Soft, Soft in places on the Cross Country course

12:34pm

It's pretty chilly outside today! This was the view down the racecourse about 20 minutes ago, and you can see the fog was quite set in. It may well clear by the time of racing if the sun comes out.The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald:

12:30pm

Welcome to the Swindon Advertiser live text feed of day two at the Cheltenham Festival. I am Laura Lambert and will be here from now until after the last race, giving you details of the runners and riders, statistics, jockey and trainer views, race results and some photos of the day.

THIS SERVICE WILL BEGIN AT 12:30pm
