10:13pm

Cooper also had his say on the incident between Branco and Sako at the end of the game.

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald: Raphael Rossi Branco wins a header during his star performance in Swindon Town's victory over Peterborough

RAPHAEL BRANCO

“It looked like it (spitting). I think Raffa went too easily for the first one but it looked like he spat for the second one. But it’s Wolves, you don’t get players sent off when you’re big clubs.”

10:12pm

Nathan Byrne has a nerve problem which is effecting his hamstring, but Cooper hopes to have caught the issue in time.

Troy Archibald-Henville was rested as his knee can't cope with two games in a week, while Jay McEveley may also be struggling for the weekend for the same reason.

10:09pm

Town boss Mark Cooper is speaking to the media.

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald: Mark Cooper

MARK COOPER

“I don’t think you can play against a club like Wolves, with the riches we’ve got and the players they’ve got, and not have 11 men pulling in the same direction.

“In the second half when we had 11 players who rolled their sleeves up and had a go I was really pleased with the players. You might get away with it against teams lower down the table, but not Wolves.

“We didn’t defend very well down the middle of the pitch in the first half and we need to address that going forward. It’s hard to press high up the pitch when you don’t have a lot of pace at the back.

“We asked the players to go out and earn a moral victory which we largely did.”

9:43pm

FULL-TIME: Swindon Town 1 Wolves 4

MATCHDAY LIVE IS SPONSORED BY:

9:42pm

SUBSTITUTION: Sako off and replaced by Ethan Ebanks-Landell.

9:42pm

GOAL 4-1 WOLVES (Clarke 90+3) The former Town man waltzes into the box and somehow creates an angle for himself to fire through Belford at the near post.

MATCHDAY LIVE IS SPONSORED BY:

9:38pm

YELLOW CARD: Tempers flare between Branco and Sako and it’s the Town man who gets the yellow card.

Four minutes added.

9:35pm

86 minutes: Town go oh so close as McEveley guides a header onto the angle of post and bar from Smith’s cross only to see it bounce down a yard in front of the goal line.

9:34pm

ATTENDANCE: 9,670 (2,140)

9:29pm

SUBSTITUTION: Leon Clarke returns to the County Ground to a chorus of boos, again, in place of Dicko. 80

9:28pm

78 minutes: Ikeme comes and flaps at a Pritchard cross but Town can’t profit.

9:25pm

SUBSTITUTION: Dave Edwards on for James Henry. 76

9:24pm

GOAL 3-1 (Smith 74) Smith brings the ball down really well just outside the six yard box, turns Stearman and sweeps the ball past Ikeme. Game on? I wouldn’t go that far but there’s hope.

9:23pm

73 minutes: Barker and then Pritchard both charge forward, before the latter’s shot is blocked.

9:19pm

Wolves still have pantomime villain Leon Clarke to come of the bench.

9:19pm

YELLOW CARD: Dicko is booked for ‘pushing’ Branco to the floor. From here it looked as if he barely made any contact and the Brazilian central defender threw himself to the ground. Silly. 69

9:16pm

YELLOW CARD: Town’s first booking of the evening goes to Jack Barthram, who dragged down Golbourne. 66

9:14pm

YELLOW CARD: Pritchard is bundled over by James Henry, who goes into the book for this trouble. 64

9:11pm

61 minutes: A nice Town move brings a round of applause as Smith’s little flick finds Luongo, but the new Aussie cap can only chip his shot over the top.

9:09pm

58 minutes: McDonald fizzes a shot over the top of the bar.

9:08pm

SUBSTITUTION: Final change Byrne is taken off and replaced by Barthram. 57

9:08pm

57 minutes: Louis Thompson motors into the box but drags a shot/cross wide. He’s a good player.

9:05pm

56 minutes: Pritchard, by far Town’s brightest spark, shoots wide from the edge of the box.

9:03pm

SUBSTITUTION: Kasim off for Louis Thompson. 53

8:58pm

50 minutes: Harley has the first chance of the half but he skews it wide.

SUBSTITUTION

George Barker replaces Dany N'Guessan. 45

8:52pm

And here come Town. George Barker is coming on for N'Guessan.

8:50pm

Here come Wolves.

8:49pm

There has been an over 60s game on the pitch at the interval, which honestly has been riverting. Some decent players in there.

8:48pm

Kelvin Young is out on the pitch at the moment promoting his fight at the Oasis on Friday night.

8:35pm

Plenty of boos at the break, which I suppose is to be expected.

8:35pm

HALF-TIME: Swindon Town 0 Wolves 3

MATCHDAY LIVE IS SPONSORED BY:

8:33pm

45 minutes: It really should be four as Dicko’s ball sends Ricketts in at the back post, but his effort goes over the top when one-on-one with Belford. Two minutes added.

8:31pm

42 minutes: Pritchard lines up a free-kick 30 yards from goal and curls one into the arms of Ikeme.

8:29pm

If (and when) Wolves win this it will be a club record nine straight victories.

8:28pm

Seems most knew how this would go

8:26pm

GOAL 3-0 WOLVES (Sako 34): Straight through the middle of the Town defence once again and Sako drills past Belford. All too easy.

MATCHDAY LIVE IS SPONSORED BY:

8:24pm

34 minutes: Pritchard finds Byrne out on the right, allowing the little full-back to put in a cross which Smith would have finished if he had made a play for the ball.

8:23pm

33 minutes: Ward thumps a back pass to Belford at ridiculous velocity but the Town deputy keeper can just about deal with it.

8:22pm

32 minutes: Sakho charges away from Byrne and into the box to drill a cross low into the six yard area, but Belford is just about able to fall on it.

8:20pm

30 minutes: Smith shapes to shoot from the edge of the area but his effort is blocked by N’Guessan’s feet before it can worry Ikeme.

8:17pm

Ryan Harley's feet are like pitching wedges this evening.

8:13pm

23 minutes: Pritchard shoots from outside the box and forces Ikeme to drop to his left and save.

YOUR SAY

8:10pm Tue 11 Mar 14

The Jockster says

It's like taking candy from a baby - two defence splitting passes in a minute and bingo no. 2 - we are playing with a flat back 11 and getting the ball is beyond us.

8:11pm

20 minutes: Town look to respond quickly again after conceding, as well they should, and Smith heads Pritchard’s cross over the top.

8:10pm

GOAL 2-0 WOLVES (Dicko 19) Sako plays a masterful ball through the Town defence for Dicko, who turns a flat-footed Ward with ease and lashes home.

MATCHDAY LIVE IS SPONSORED BY:

Swindon Advertiser:

8:09pm

18 minutes: It probably should be two for Wolves as Dicko gets in behind McEveley and pulls the ball back for Henry on the edge of the six yard box who rattles his shot off Belford’s post.

8:05pm

In fairness Town have responded well to going behind but this is going to be a tough ask.

8:01pm

11 minutes: Town respond well and are soon on the edge of the Wolves box for the first time, where Pritchard forces Ikeme to palm his drive away.

7:59pm

GOAL 1-0 WOLVES (Sako 9) Sako drifts clear at the far post to head home Henry’s cross after Town failed to clear.

MATCHDAY LIVE IS SPONSORED BY:

Swindon Advertiser:

7:57pm

Seven minutes: Wolves have the first chance of the night as McEveley and Branco fall over each other, presenting the ball to James Henry who drills, low, just wide of diving Belford’s post.

7:57pm

Six minutes: McEveley present the ball straight to Jacobs but Branco does well to muscle the Wolves forward off the ball.

7:52pm

Coming up to five minutes in and there really isn't an awful lot to report, other than the fact Town are still keeping the ball well without ever threatening.

7:50pm

Town keeping the ball pretty well at the start of this game.

IN THE AWAY DUGOUT

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald: Kenny Jackett has resigned as Millwall manager

KENNY JACKETT

The former Swansea boss is in his first season at Molineux having left Millwall at the end of the last campaign, and his new club have made a great start to life in League One following relegation last season.

Jackett has plenty of weapons at his disposal, but has had to endure a relatively large amount of player turnover over the summer.

The likes of Kevin Doyle, and Leigh Griffiths have moved on but those who remain have helped Wolves to the top of the table.

DANGER MEN

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald: Bakary Sako celebrates a goal for Wolves

BAKARY SAKO

The tricky midfielder has more than 100 French top flight appearances under his belt with St Etienne, but now finds himself at the third level of the English game. He can play wide or through the middle, and wherever he’s deployed he will be a threat with his rocket-like shots and threatening crosses.

7:23pm

HOME OF THE WOLVES

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald: Wolves v Albion - from Molineux

The home of Wolves since 1889 currently holds 30,852 and as any Town fan at today’s game will tell you is an impressive place to watch football.

The Molineux name originates from Benjamin Molineux, a successful local merchant, and a distant relative of the now extinct Earls of Sefton, who, in 1744, purchased land on which he built Molineux House ,later converted to the Molineux Hotel, and on which the stadium would eventually be built.

The ground underwent a major renovation in the 1992/93 season, but with an upper tier added to the Stan Cullis Stand last year the impressive ground got even better.

7:20pm

7:18pm

7:15pm

MAN IN THE MIDDLE - Lee Collins

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald:

Collins took charge of Town's 2-0 defeat at Stevenage earlier in the season, so hopefully he will oversea better fortunes for the Robins tonight. Unlike recent referees here he isn't particularly card happy, with only 46 yellows and two reds in 22 games.

7:13pm

CONNECTIONS

New Wolves boss Kenny Jackett managed Swindon players Danny N’Guessan, Darren Ward and Ryan Mason during his time at Millwall, while Ward was himself once a Wanderers player.

The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald: Darren Ward

DARREN WARD AT WOLVES EARLIER IN THE SEASON

Robins striker Miles Storey, currently on loan at Shrewsbury, is a boyhood Wolves fan, and would loved the chance to score against the old gold tonight.

7:10pm

LAST TIME OUT

Town were at their very best the last time these two sides met, but it wasn't enough as Wolves took the game 3-2. You would think Town need the same sort of performance again tonight against a Wolves side who have improved.

What an absolute shambles.
The things we have learned tonight
1 Manager and most of the players have already given up
2 Absolutely no motivation
3 Yes we have a young squad but without motivation a young squad will not succeed.
Mr Cooper please do not feed us excuses, injuries the ref a young squad or whatever else you want to blame,
The team for whatever reason are not fit enough and not hungry enough for success whether that is down to you or lee power not wanting championship football the attitude has changed from the first half of the season to the second just as it did at the end of last season where it also looked like the players lost their hunger for promotion.
Does Lee Power want promotion i think this is a serious question that needs to be answered because their answers from the weekend suggest that they were planning for league one football from half way or even before that in the season

50 minutes: Harley has the first chance of the half but he skews it wide.

56 minutes: Pritchard, by far Town’s brightest spark, shoots wide from the edge of the box

57 minutes: Louis Thompson motors into the box but drags a shot/cross wide. He’s a good player

And just now,

61 minutes: A nice Town move brings a round of applause as Smith’s little flick finds Luongo, but the new Aussie cap can only chip his shot over the top

Seven minutes, three chances and every shot wide, and then one over the top after 11 minutes, sounds like they are incapable of getting a shot on target. 5hyte, and no wonder the gate is down. On the other hand, Wolves, three good moves, three goals. I'll bet Jacket hasn't got a book of excuses.

Just got back - Yes Jock I eventually got out there - possibly not the best game to pick - but to be honest could see all the problems first half and we made them look good and gifted somewhat at least 2 goals. (I did suggest turning the pitch 90 degrees that way we may have gone forward and back.)
Second half much better, whether they took their foot off the gas or not they were wobbling at the back and with our confidence up we could have sneaked another goal.
Wasn't overly impressed with Wolves they did play in the first half with a lot more composure- second half they looked as poor as our first half.
From where I was sat not sure about the spitting incident with their No10 but the reaction from Branco looked genuine to me - but the ref and linesman were both there so perhaps it wasn't as it appeared.
I see the D+Gloom brigade are/were bashing away with their one-liners.
It is going to be a struggle but hey ho ....

i thought we did ok second half, just too big a gap to bridge after gifting them at least 2 goals in the first half. Saying that, the parachute payments they've had they should be romping the league shouldn't they - some decent powerful players.

Our season won't be defined by results like tonight, but the last 8 games have been disappointing. A few big games coming up, starting with City on Saturday

A few jumbled thoughts:
- Awful first half, no pressing or tracing back, N'Guessan particularly guilty of leaving Byrne against two or sometimes three players but they were all bad
- Better second half, Jay and the subs impressed as they worked hard and put themselves about a bit
- Ward looked like he belonged in the over 60 game on at half time
- Smith reminds me of Austin when he first came here, works hard but doesn't really contribute a lot, then gets a goal out of nothing. If he can improve his all round game like Charlie did then he could be a good player for us
- The sponsors who choose MOTM are either related to Pritchard or he is the only player they know the name of

Di kanny oh wrote:
The play offs are not over as they were never ever a realistic proposition and anyone who considers they were must be on the planet Zonk and need to come back to earth and get real. The team was decimated and rebuilt on a massive scale unseen at most clubs and with such a young squad things looked bleak with expectations banking on just survival in this division. Anyone who expected us to stroll into the play offs must be sniffing glue even though we have come frightingly close and have been dealt some cruel blows with injuries but also indiscipline issues with bookings and suspensions. Loosing Ranger has been massive. Just imagine had we been able to keep Ajose and Ranger as a strike partnership then just may be we could have reached the impossible and got even higher up this league. In my book 47 points and 8th spot is truly fantastic as was some of the football this season and any team that looses two strikers with 20 goals between them are going to find it hard going. One issue I do have is seeing Cooper slumped in the dugout when he should be on the line encouraging his young players and this is not good to see. I have just renewed my season ticket online which was quite complicated but got there in the end but to get 10% discount and interest free payments too is just fantastic and far too good to miss. At just £14.67 per game is brilliant and I am a STFC fans as when we loose it really hurts and yes its been frustrating in large parts this season but also we have had some superb football at times and the rebuilding is a complex and sometimes long process but we have to remember that so many players and young ones at that have been brought in and patience will definitely be needed. We may be guilty even of letting our expectations get the better of us with our lofty position in the league which actually is better than most expected but then we have the fan who demands that we stroll into the play offs otherwise the manager is a pile of cr*p. Yes we all know who they are on this site don't we. Cooper is not the finished article and neither are some of the players but I would rather have Mark than the last guy in charge or some of the tripe before Di Canio. McDonald was like a fish out of water although he drank gallons of the stuff during a game and must have had a bladder the size of his head but manager no ,and he was clueless. Mark Cooper needs to show better attributes on the touchline during a game as I don't like the resigning attitude to giving up because if he shows it then how can he expect his players to act differently. Its always hard being a Town fan and frustrating too it seems but are we different to any other fans, what would it be like for Fulham fans right now or Torquay fans about to face going out of the league so I wonder is life really so bad at STFC. Realism is required and expectations kept under control but with the savage change of personnel that transpired at the start of the season it will certainly take time to rebuild this team but I feel we are certainly going in the right direction and slow but sure and small steps needed. WE ARE CERTAINLY NOT READY FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP AND THAT IS A FACT. . We must do better even though the players may well frustrate us and contribute to the lacking atmosphere around the ground but lets not forget we are all on the same side aren't we. Shocking first half tonight with Ward completely done for pace and defense ripped to shreds but much better second half. Sherwood?? Yes please.

If you couldn't see the vast difference between the two sides tonight, then I have no idea what game you were watching. No manager in the world could have bridged that gap. Wolves are strong, fast and purposeful; we are weak, slow and aimless. STFC Youth Academy v Wolves Men. WTF can Cooper or any manager do about that?

We had our little flurry in the second half, mainly because Wolves let us play in front of them, but let's no kid ourselves. We are woefully lightweight.

Branco needs to grow up and was very lucky not to be sent off for his blatant cheating - twice. Cooper let himself down with his childish comments. I don't want those sort of things to be associated with my football club.

Men against boys first half but we didn't crumble and they only had one shot second half.

Unfortunately for teams like us when you come up against a team with a £16m (I believe) parachute payment it doesn't make a level playing field. Many ex Prem players in their side, and as expected Bako and Macdonald far too strong, and in Sakos case, quick as well. But it wasn't just those two their whole team were confident and better to a man first half.

Poor old Ward couldn't cope with the pace of Sako and Dicko and Cooper mentioned that on interview. The sub of NGuessan was also pointed out, accused of not putting in a shift in as many words.

But second half was much better, Pritch clearly man of the match, and all 3 subs tried hard.

Smiths best game too, held the ball well and laid it off well too, and a good goal.

It would have made no difference but Sako should have been sent off for spitting, but just a word from todays ref - "Don't do it again??"

Frustrating but perspective needed, let's not forget they're top of the league, cash rich and on a run of 9 wins in 9.....

I do feel we are being very harsh on laying blame for the final two goals. I think credit should be given to Wolves for two cracking balls that were hit perfectly. Not sure there is a Centre Half in the country that could have defended the through ball for the second goal, far enough away from Ward to prevent an interception and perfectly weighted for the run of the Striker.

But I suppose we have to moan and lay the blame somewhere.

Enjoyed the game and enjoyed Smith's goal which I thought he took really well.

Wilesy, of course you are right about the difference in resources but it doesn't excuse the fact that we have constructed a team that is unsuited to the rigours of English lower division football. You don't need to spend a fortune to build a team that is physically competitive in the third division. The chairman has got it all wrong. Many of us were slated on here earlier in the season for saying we would pay the price for the poor recruitment policy. Now the chickens are coming home to roost. If Power doesn't change it in the summer, we could be facing a relegation battle before Christmas - provided we survive this season.

Well we'll have a Chishy on a little dishy! Well done you! Think you've summed it up well - all I'd say would be that they perhaps did take their foot off the gas after pummelling us in the first half - men against boys and how ironic that Clarke put the icing on the cake for them with a stunning strike near the end and they had the luxury of leaving him on the bench until late on. I'd have him playing for us any day given our powder puff strike force.

Tonight showed just what a gap there is between us and the likes of Wolves, Blades etc sleeping giants with financial resources far above those of STFC.

In fact it's not a gap it's a chasm of Grand Canyon proportions and that unfortunately the reality. There's no dressing it up, embellishing the circumstances to make them sound better than they are. We have now won one in eleven with a real possibility it'll be twelve come five o'clock Saturday.

There is no quick fix this scenario could easily be repeated next season given the lack of finances and the need to run the club on a shoestring.

Not a pleasant thought.

Sherwood?? Yes please.
Surely a cut& paste from earlier? Any reason why we should be subjected to the same post twice? My apologies if this is not the case.

Jock, please read my earlier post on the KJ and Wolves thread.. I think I predicted the match somewhere about right some hours before the kick off. Not pleased to have been able to do so, but I suppose watching for all these years you get to know what to expect. I'd have been thrilled to have been proven wrong and sorry I wasn't. Surely now after being so slow, and flat footed for the first two goals serious question marks must hang over Ward if they haven't for most of the season. I find it very lamentable that his playing career should end with a season like this after a good career, and of course Jackett knew just how to expose him, knowing him so well for years as one of his players. Big shame.

I thought Sako was superb tonight for Wolves and clearly someone who should be perhaps in the Prem. Ward I have to say really struggled tonight and was done like a kipper for the second. Cooper did a good job at half time and pushed the back four up more and that seemed to cut out the balls to Dicko and we retained possession a lot more.

Second half Town we execellent and must have had 65% of the ball or that;s how it felt- I don't think they sat back I think they had a better side against them who got control. We won the ball more, cut out the diagonal balls.. We still need to create more chances but if Jays header had crept in then it might have been fun. Crowd also got behind the team and it showed. Danny N'G looked way out of it and Barker was a big improvement. I think Louis perhaps should have started given that Kasim has been complaining of fatigue.

.
Sako by the way definately spat in Branco's face, no question. I was sadly sat wiith a Wolves fan and even he was horrified by it - should have gone!!

Wolves only got in the penalty box to score the late 4th and of course it had to be the nasty one. By the way the said Wolves fan next to me played up front with Clarke at school for three years - said he was a nasty bit of work back then, not a nice man by all accounts.

I hear what all of you say, but...... I just cannot understand how you can enjoy a game when we loose, it is beyond me.
When I started going to football is was for entertainment. Watch a match hopefully see two teams playing well, good goals, good saves, good tackles a good game and you felt you had enjoyed spending two hours being entertained. You wanted your team to win but sometimes have to concede that although it was a good game the other team were better on the day.

Back then money was not so much a factor, players rarely moved clubs and if you were lucky enough to build a good team you had success for a while. Town did it in 68/69 and the following year nearly made the top flight.

Nowadays money has reared its head and winning is the be all and end all of football in pursuit of money. Players move for money, fans want clubs to spend more money, fans get upset because the club doesn't have enough money to pay the players that want more money to come and play for the club that has no money. Clubs are reluctant to let there players play for there international teams because they may get tired or injured and this may cost the club money. Of course all clubs need money to exist but it has become the major factor in a sport.

Lets just say I was entertained this evening, there was some good football played by both sides, there were some good goals, the team that won has more money but the team with less gave them a run for it in the second half, they are far younger and may, given the chance, reverse the score in a few years. More importantly I saw it locally.

No problem bearwoodred, no offence taken. As you can probably tell I get a little emotional when it comes to football. Roadie? no, too much like hard work that. No, for many years we used to take 2 weeks plus off work and do 90% of the whole tour, couldn't do it now though, it would kill me. We are just doing the Bristol & Cheltenham gigs this year.

Bearwood, the "spit spat" didn't look that way at all to me. Branco and Sako squared up, as footballers often do, and Branco suddenly pretended he'd been head butted. If Cooper is going to accuse a player of spitting, then he'd better provide video evidence, as it's a serious charge. And comments about the ref favouring a bigger club are scraping the bottom of the barrel. It's the sort of thing Danny Wilson said as his bunch of no-hopers slid towards their inevitable relegation.

I will defend Cooper's management record because I still believe anything other than relegation will be an achievement for him but these comments take him down a long way in my estimation.

Because he's not good enough that's why Oxon. His legs have gone and has become more exposed since Flint departed. If Power is serious in building a side capable of making a promotion challenge his first targets have to be two central defenders, IMO Branco isn't good enough and TAH is a crock.
I know you are the eternal optimist but we were a poor second last night, I don't mind getting beat by a better team but we again showed no fighting spirit. Folks on here talking about the 2nd half being better? Yes it was but they'd taken their foot off the gas and at 3-0 up they took a breather so let's not kid ourselves eh?

Hello Oxon,

Sorry I missed your question last evening. Well I am not alone on this. There is no disputing DW's career and it's impressive record, but he has turned into a liability. Too slow, often flat footed and out of position and his ability to read the game as it comes towards him seems to have vanished. His tackles at times are arguably late and often ineffective as the player has read what is coming. His speed lets him down and his accuracy is not there as it was. He is no longer fit for purpose. Too many times this season players have scythed through our defense like a knife through butter, and as a consequence we have conceded more than a few goals that should have never been. May I add though, as a person, a nicer bloke you could not meet. Top draw person and I have no doubt what so ever that his intentions are more than honourable., but as Jock has said, his legs have seen a season too many.

Still 9th :-)
Seriously this was a lesson on football in the first half wasn't it and very enjoyable to watch.
Wolves are everything we are trying to be and the main difference was they passed the ball forward but very rarely checked and passed back.
The only player that really stood out for me was Branco and he has to play in front of Ward.
I do not like vilifying players as such, but Ward has to be dropped and fast.the 2nd goal was an embarrassment to him and he also could have stuck a foot in for Clarke's goal and he now really is as slow as any player i have seen for a long time plus there was no leadership from him at all last night.
Play like we did in the 2nd half and we might get a result.

By the way it hurts every fan when the team loses but sometimes you have to hold your hand up and say the better team won. Tonight Wolves were very very good in the first half but second half we were the better side. They may have sat back a bit or did they ? Mark changed second half and played Kasim defensive central initially and then Louis, did it work ? I think so.

As I said above I enjoyed the match tonight despite the score and the crowd responded. Real shame that the one real error in the second half cost us.

Because he's not good enough that's why Oxon. His legs have gone and has become more exposed since Flint departed. If Power is serious in building a side capable of making a promotion challenge his first targets have to be two central defenders, IMO Branco isn't good enough and TAH is a crock.

Chish what a shame you have reverted to childish nah nah ne nah type posts, I thought you were better than that.

Oxon I think you're taking things all just a little bit too seriously. But for the purposes of adult debate let me answer your "digs".
1) Firstly there's no finer defender or admirer of Flint's qualities than me and I've said so on here many times. I never was a knocker.
2) It's not only me that is saying it's time Wardy called it a day it's virtually every one on this forum - & perhaps ironically he got away with it last season because Flinty covered his arse.
3) what's wrong with calling Pritch Twinkletoes? To me he buzzes and flit around and on his day is certainly one of our better players, but as he's a tad diminutive he does sometimes get knocked off the ball- that's not having a go that's fact again as others have pointed out.
4) Hall - yes I didn't rate him initially alongside Ward - hence the Chuckle bros analogy but I did say and will concede that before his injury he looked more solid.
5) Branco I've not labelled as you say I just don't rate him, TAH ? Good player but he can't play two games a week because of his knee so he's a bit of a crock isn't he?
6) ah now Wilma & Jean a couple of nick names that really caught on eh on here, why? Because they weren't very good were they, and it gave some folks a laugh and they are still being referred to as those, nor was Pericard but I don't actually remember calling him anything except useless which he was and I've not even mentioned Dosevi or Mageera(or Majoker) :)

Take a chill pill and don't get het up over such trivialities. By the way irony rate Smith either and Dany N'G has disappointed but I do rate Ranger, and wish we had a couple of strikers with the ability of Clarke, Sako, Dickov, Donaldson, Aneke, etc.

All opinions Jockster and interesting that since Hall has been out Ward has become the target. Who next ?

Ah, Branco and Troy. But Flint, who also received similar, is the dogs now !

Not an eternal optimist at all just a fan that is disappointed that players are constantly labelled.

Anyone good enough ?

Oh yes, sorry, forgot the Messiah.
Oxon - Jock seems to enjoy this name calling - bit of a thing I feel ... I did find it funny though when the tables were turned on him and he got all grotty and defensive when Jock was called names.

Please don't try to make out as the villain here Jock, only I think you are missing the point - whether you find it childish or not doesn't particularly bother me .... I was merely highlighting the fact of when the tables were turned it seemed to hit a nerve with you.
You seem to have acquired the knack of irritating some on here. Not me I might add I find your during and after match comments good normally.
