HENRI Sandvik hit a hat-trick for Swindon Wildcats as they ended their losing streak on their travels at league leaders Basingstoke Bison.

Ryan Aldridge’s side arrived in Basingstoke having lost their last three matches on the road.

And with the EPL leaders their hosts, it wasn’t going to be an easy task for them if they were going head home with the win.

But Cats took the lead with 5.52 on the clock following some fine skills with puck from Jonas Hoog drove the visitors forward and Sandvik was on hand to crash the puck home.

In a thrilling second period, Miroslav Vantroba drilled in two long range strikes for the hosts, but goals from Sandvik and Floyd Taylor ensured that Cats went in at the break 3-2 up.

Jan Kostal gave Cats a 4-2 lead midway through the final period, before Sandvik completed his hat-trick to seal the win for the visitors.
