CRAWLEY Town striker Matt Tubbs believes Swindon Town are playing one division below their rightful station.

Tubbs, who is on loan at his former club from Bournemouth, was hugely complimentary to Town in his pre-match interviews ahead of the clash between Swindon and Crawley at the County Ground tonight, claiming the Robins ought to be in the Championship.

He said: “Swindon are a club who, in my personal opinion, shouldn’t be in this division. I think they are a Championship outfit; they have a brilliant stadium and a great fanbase. But we are in the same division as them, it’s an equal playing field, and hopefully we can go there and get a good result.

“Swindon are a great club, like Walsall (who Crawley beat 2-1 on Saturday), and we know it’s not going to be easy. They have a good fanbase down there and they are a team, potentially, who shouldn’t even be in this division.

“It will be tough but if we can put on a display like we did (at Walsall) and show we are a fit bunch of lads then we will be a match for anyone.”
