PREDICTIONS LEAGUE: Port Vale Results and Update

Same ol’ story. Two down away from home before half time. Game over.

Not this time. Town make an impressive comeback to snatch all 3 points away from home for only the third time this season.

It was a familiar story to start with. Town fail to deal with a cross into the box and Doug Loft is there to slot home for the Valiant’s. A poor clearance by Troy on 40 mins lead to Pope converting a second and Town went into the break 2-0 down.

Six minutes into the second half, a Pritchard driving cross to the back post was met by Nile Ranger and the Town were back in it. A sublime Alex Pritchard free kick draws the Town level. Five minutes later the Town are at it again with Nathan Byrne bundling the ball over the line. It may have been untidy, it may have been messy but it was a third goal for Swindon.

I said in my write-up when setting the questions “your fans expect”.

The boys delivered.
