PREDICTIONS LEAGUE : Peterborough Results and Update
What a match. As Mark Cooper said post match, 2 down without doing anything wrong, apart from letting in two goals. A well taken goal by Nile to put us back in the game and another own goal late in the first half meant it was all square at the break. Yet, with Britt Assombalonga head butting Jay McEveley’s boot meant the Town still had to play the 2nd half with 10 men and the Posh play without their main striker.
It was certainly a backs against the wall job by the Town, but Posh did lack a cutting edge to break down the 10 men in red. To be honest, towards the end of the game if there was one team that was going to grab the winner it wasn’t going to be the home side.
The result sets it up nicely for the 2nd leg next Monday. Fortune will favour the brave.
