SWINDON Town have this morning confirmed the signing of striker Michael Smith from Charlton.
The County Ground club have issued a statement confirming the striker has signed a two-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee, subject to FA approval.
As reported by the Advertiser this morning the fee is understood to be around £200,000, with £100,000 paid to Charlton up front and the remaining half of the headline figure payable in add-ons.
It is also thought Charlton will have a sell on clause as part of the deal relating to any profit Town make in the future on the 22-year-old.
A brief statement this morning read: "Town have signed Charlton striker Michael Smith for an undisclosed fee, subject to Football League and FA approval.
"The 22-year old has put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half year deal at SN1."
