FROME Town manager Adrian Foster is delighted to have set up a link between his club and Swindon Town.

Foster played alongside Swindon manager Mark Cooper at Exeter and Rushden & Diamonds earlier in his career and the relationship he developed with the Robins boss back then has enabled him to create a formal bond between the sides this season.

Foster has already taken striker Connor Waldon and midfielder Alex Ferguson on loan to the AlderSmith Stadium this term, while Mark Francis made the temporary move on Tuesday and scored on debut in a 3-2 victory against Banbury United on Wednesday.

The Frome boss said: “I played with Mark (Cooper) at a few clubs – you might not stay in touch with everyone but he's one of the ones I have done.

“He's invited me down to their ground to have a look at how they do things at a professional club so I've got a little bit of a link there.”
