CHIPPENHAM ASC enjoyed a fine set of results at the British Gas National Age Group Synchronised Swimming in Gloucester.

The nine-strong 12 and under Recreational team – Amy Gibbons, Bethany Barnett, Charity Sugg, Courtney Matthews, Lauren Makepeace, Leilani Attiwell, Madison Lavelle, Natalie Dodd and Megan Hunt – led the way, finishing in fourth place out of 16, just 0.333 points behind the two teams above them.

Chippenham’s Madeleine Bright swam in the Bristol Central 12 and under Recreational Team which finished ninth. Elise Bright, also from Chippenham ASC, swam in the Bristol 19 and under Recreational team which took gold.

Four swimmers competed in the figure competition.

Jess Smith came 17th in the 12 and under event, qualifying to attend trials for The England Talent Synchro Squad at Crystal Palace.

Makepeace, Attiwell and Rachael Lawrence also competed.

In the competitive team part of the competition, Chippenham ASC had two swimmers competing with Bristol Central Swimming Club.

Smith swam in the 12 and under team who won gold out of eight teams.

Rachael Lawrence swam in the 15/16/17 years team who took the gold medal.
