Flint disappointed goal meant nothing
ADEN Flint was pleased to score against old club Swindon Town for Bristol City on Saturday, but cut a frustrated figure after his strike counted for nothing.
Flint, who moved to Ashton Gate from Wiltshire in the summer, opened the scoring in the visitors’ 3-2 defeat.
But Nicky Ajose struck twice and Nile Ranger hit Town’s winner to make it an unhappy homecoming from the imperious centre-back.
“I’m especially pleased to score against my former team, but disappointed we have not won the game,” he said after the game.
“I don’t care if I score or not – I’m far more worried about us getting that first League win and we should have had it today.
“We matched them throughout and even had better spells at some stages of the game and it’s hard to accept we are not going back with at least a point.”
