New Chippenham manager Steve Winter on today's heavy defeat to Bedford: "The first half was probably the best we've played all season - we were passing around at the back and in midfield and we were cruising.
"We could have been two or three up easily and I said to them at half-time 'you just need to keep doing what you're doing and you don't need to change anything'.
"The boys were confident and we all had a smile on our face but then Johnsey's come out and the ball's gone through his legs - he didn't mean to do it and he was gutted.
"I think that little things like that change games of football. Then for the second goal, it was a big boot up field, our centre-half has headed it against our other centre-half and it's fallen straight to their lad, who's clean through on goal.
"Then for the third goal, it's ricocheted everywhere and then fell to their lad, whose shot was deflected in. All of a sudden, we're chasing the game.
"In all my years of football, I've never seen a 15 minute spell of complete mayhem like that.
"It's hard but we've just got to get things right in training on Tuesday and Thursday and be ready for another game at home next Saturday (against Redditch United)."
The visitors are enjoying themselves, making a ton of noise as they return to the away dressing room, whilst Chippenham are left to reflect on their heaviest defeat of the season so far
And that brings to an end an afternoon to forget for the Bluebirds. After an impressive first half where the hosts could have built up a healthy lead, Chippenham went on to find themselves on the end of thrashing.
It's a sobering experience for boss Steve Winter on his first game in charge as permanent boss
