SWINDON TOWN: Hall won't be intimidated by Molineux crowd
GRANT Hall is not about to be intimidated by a large and vocal home following when Swindon Town visit Wolves this weekend.
The West Midlands outfit can boast Championship-standard attendances in League One, with their smallest home gate this term bigger than all bar three of Swindon’s across the whole of the last five years.
Hall understands the daunting nature of the task at hand but he stressed that he and his teammates are ready for the challenge.
“I’m sure there will be a big crowd there. It will be another tough game but we are looking forward to it,” he said.
“They’re second at the moment and they haven’t lost yet so it will be a tough game but if we play the way we’ve been playing we’ll be okay.”
Hall’s relationship with centre-back partner Darren Ward is still a work in progress, but the on-loan Tottenham man is enjoying the opportunity to learn of such a seasoned pro.
“As a centre-back partnership we need to gel together and we’ve played six games together so we’ll get better as the games go on,” he said.
“I’m getting a bit more of an understanding with him now, though, and he’s good to have on the pitch.
“As a defender you always want to keep a clean sheet. Even if you’re 3-0 up and you concede a goal it’s disappointing. We’ll look to keep as many as we can.”
