Flora Day's unique atmosphere draws visitors from around the world, so it is not surprising that residents of Helston's twin town of Plougasnou in France want to experience it for themselves.
For the first time an official group of 15 members from the Plougasnou community has joined in the celebrations..
The group arived early and spent Tuesday helping to collect greenery and bluebells, which they then used to decorate three shops in the town.
The visitors from Brittany are staying with families in Helston, and accompanied their hosts to the event itself.
The mayor of Plougasnou was also invited to the Flora Day lunch, as the guest of Helston mayor Jonathan Radford-Gaby.
With the excitement of Flora Day over, the group will visit Helston Museum and then enjoy lunch, before attending several meetings with groups and organisations in the town that are hoping to carry out exchange visits, including Helston ACT2.
