FOOTBALL: Mings to the rescue for Tractor Boys' fan

FORMER Chippenham Town defender Tyrone Mings hit the headlines on Saturday after supplying an Ipswich Town fan with two tickets to their Championship game.
Mings, was was snapped up from Chippenham by Tractor Boys' manager Mick McCarthy in December after impressing in a trial game, left tickets at Portman Road for supporter Tris Monk after the pair struck up a conversation on Twitter.
The 20 year old, the son of former Chippenham Town boss Adie, was on Twitter before Ipswich's 1-0 win over Bolton Wanderers, for which he was an unused substitute.
After being wished good luck by Monk, who added "wish I was there to watch #skint", Mings replied "can you get to Portman Road?" before adding: "Left u tickets under the name tris monk. Shouldn't miss a game cos u can't afford it."
Monk later replied thanking him for the tickets and adding: "Players like yourself make ITFC a great club".
Mings has yet to make an appearance for Ipswich since his move.
