I realise we need cash and any cash is good cash. But I can't see it working. 6 concerts in such a small space of time when the pitch needs replacing just won't work. I too hate these things and find them an irritating distraction.
I use Mozilla Firefox and found using Adblock Plus and Flash block addons disables these adverts, it does take some trial and error attempts to get it right, but it does work.

Cole nor Tulisa light my fire musically but would welcome some real musicians to perform at the C.G. I don't think Marcus will be happy or even allow people stomping all over his holy land during his busy time.
I went to Ashton Gate a couple of years ago to see Bon Jovi , the stands were full but no one on the pitch so thats the way to go.

Embargo to be lifted ? I'll be the happiest if it is , however everything is moving slower than a slug in reverse . An experienced Premier striker ? that would be nice , Michael Owen ?

But at least 'The Adver understands' is better than the use of passive voice, e.g. 'it is understood', which is nothing other than useless, lazy writing. I hate passive voice, where the subject receives the action in the verb. Better to use the active voice, where the subject performs the action, and hence the reader can focus on the subject.

The Adver understands that Doris the Tea Lady has left the club after 82 years of service.

She was very shocked to be told to clear her trolley this evening, having been dismissed without notice. She was also asked to hand back all Swindon Town property and tea bags in particular.

The new Board posted a message on Twitter, saying that she was too old for the new and modern pop concert image at the County Ground, but thanked her for her service and have arranged fro Doris to have an interview at B&Q.

The Adver also understands that with Doris gone, her wages saved will be sufficient to get the embargo lifted, soon!!

A mate of mine works for security at the CG and has just text me to say that he has seen Doris sneaking back it and is now leaving with a tea-pot.

Lawyers acting on behalf of Doris now claim that although she was paid up to and including 28/2/13, she is now owed up to and including 5pm. today 15/2/13. Under the circumstances the embargo cannot be lifted until she is paid wages due.

Re. dates of Doris's employment the matter of the misrepresentation of 15/2/13 as the date of termination of contract, rather than the true date of 15/3/13, further legal deliberation will be required. Parties in dispute will deliberate at length on this matter. A ruling is to be expected in late May after which the matter of the embargo can be considered.
